Animals Applique
Wall Help please!?
I am new to sewing, but I've been making these stuffed toys. Now I'm working on an owl, and I applique methods used to apply the face. My top fabric maintains the stretch though as I start to sew and never turns out right (the bubbles of fabric). View the photos. Someone know how to avoid this? Yes, it seems that the fabric moves applied on you as you stitch. Suggest that you try using a spray temporary or spraying some fabric glue and a few pins to hold it in place better. The reduction of foot pressure can sometimes help, too. In addition, sew the outer edge first, then the inner edges. Actually, it could be a kind of bonus that this has happened. You could take advantage of the swelling and things too lightly behind the piece that you sew before you can sew – would fill the bubbles "and add a lot of dimension to the face. Good luck – this looks very nice!
