China Embroidery Art – Cross-stitch
Embroideries refer to embroidery decorations that can be taken personally, such as pouch, fan cover, perfume (spice) bag, handkerchief bag, purse, etc. Cross-stitch has a unique status in the development history of Chinese embroidery, with a long time of existence, a wide scope of popularization, fancy styles, wide applications, exquisite workmanship and rich and varied stitches.

Pay attention to the four elements
Graph. This is the pattern or design you chose to stitch. There are thousands to choose from.
Needle. A tapestry needle is used, usually a size 24 or 26 (size 26 is smaller than size 24). This type of needle has a blunt point and a Large Eye. Use a size 24 for stitching on 14 count fabric; use a size 26 for fabric with a stitch count greater than 14.
Embroidery Hoop. A Plastic Embroidery hoop is helpful to hold the fabric while you stitch. Remove the fabric from the hoop when you are not stitching to keep from getting ‘hoop marks.’
Scissors. You can start out with any pair of scissors, but pretty soon you will want to get a nice pair of Small Embroidery scissors. Get a good quality pair with sharp points. A good pair of scissors makes stitching a lot more fun.

How I can solve ethnic embroidery dye?
I recently returned from a trip to Vietnam, and I bought a few bright colors embroidered items: some stuffed animals (like the bear in this http://www.zanzibartribalart.com/Hmongembroideryteddybearelephants.jpg photo), pillowcases, so do not smell very fresh and I would like to wash them, but I think that the dye might run if she did something to fix the first dye. When I looked online I read that different types of stains require different methods of fixation, and unfortunately, not knowing what type of dye used. Any suggestions?
This is a problem with clothing and other items made in countries of SE Asia because they use vegetable-based dye that bleeds. You can take elements before washing in a tub with a cold cup of vinegar added cold water 2 / 3 cup table salt or washing with a color picker note. The first two methods set the dye and prevent bleeding while color receivers simply will not attract and collect the dye that bleeds off. If you are afraid of the issues are too delicate wash, you can clean without bleaching the carpet dry cleaning granules. Resolve and capture of both to take and just put them in a box, the work of the granules on the surface and vacuum away when dry. To remove the smell without washing, put them in a box with a lid, fill a plastic container with baking sodium and leave them there until the odor is absorbed.
