Brass Bronze

Brass Bronze

Diffrentiate between the composition of bronze and brass?

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. My class made of brass, covering a penny with zinc and then heating the mixture to copper and zinc. An alloy is a mixture of two metals. Metals must be melted or heated to cause them to mix. 14 and 18 karat gold are also alloys. The only thing that is pure gold 24 karat gold. An alloy made with mercury, the liquid metal only, is called an amalgam.
