I really want a baby!?
For the past few months now, I have had this wierd ache that I really want a baby. I have dreamt about having one many times, and have even been planning a nursery and the clothes the baby will wear when I have one. I have been on loads of websites looking for names, and accessories such as cots and cuddly toys. But the thing is, I’m only 14, 15 in October, and I consider myself way too young to have a baby. I keep telling myself to wait 10 years, but it just seems too long. Is it normal for a 14 ear old to feel like this, and how can I stop these feelings?
When I was your age, I knew that one day I wanted to be a mother, but I didnt have a strong desire to be a mother right away. You have so much ahead of you. You havent even graduated high school yet. Having a baby is an amazing experience but comes with tons of responsibilities also. I’m 22 and pregnant now. Seeing the changes my body has gone through in 5 months I know i could not have tken it at 14 or 15 years old. Plus i have a loving, supportive husband who can provide for his family. You have to consider that also. You definitely should talk to an adult that loves and cares about you who you can trust. Try redirecting that desire towards something else like education and a positive future for yourself. maybe even shadowing an adult who works with babies, if allowed. Maybe your desire comes from a passion to work with babies and care for them like a neonatal nurse, etc. later in the future.
