how do you get Disney font for window live and word?
how do you get disney font for use with windows live mail? and microsoft word?
I don’t use Windows Live, but I suspect you can’t use custom fonts because other people can’t see them unless they also have the font installed. But for Word, you need to download and install the font for it to work (the font will show up in all your programs).
You need to find, download and install the font on your computer. Then all your programs will be able to use it…
You can download it from dafont.com (I think this is the font you want) http://www.dafont.com/walt-disney.font
Click on the download button. Choose Save, not Open. Save it to your desktop so you can find it.
Locate the downloaded folder on your desktop. All fonts from dafont.com com as zipped files so they can include read-mes, etc., so you will need to unzip it before you can do anything else.
WINDOWS VISTA UNZIP: double-click on the zip to open it, then either click on “Extract all files” or drag and drop the files somewhere outside the zip window. You can NOT install directly from the zipped folder.
WINDOWS VISTA INSTALL: Select the font files (.ttf or .otf ) from within the Extracted Folder or where you dragged then right-click > Install
WINDOWS XP UNZIP: You should have extraction software already on your system – try right clicking on the file and selecting expand or extract if it is listed. Have it extract to where you are or where you can find it.
If you do not have those choices, you need to download software – there are many free applications. I really like ExtractNow. It’s basically Unzipping for Dummies

WINDOWS XP INSTALL: Go to your fonts folder. Either through the start menu > control panels > fonts (make sure you are using Classic View for the control panels – it’s much easier). OR go to My Computer > Drive C > Windows > Fonts. Drag the new fonts (just the ttf/otf files) from the extracted folder or wherever they are into the fonts folder. A box should pop up showing that the font is being installed.

Secret tip: if you don’t want to fully install the font, you can double click on the .ttf file on your desktop – Windows font viewer will open up. Keep the viewer open and launch a program to work in. The font will be available for you to use during that session.
