Kids Embroidery question ….?
I used to have these little cards printed with holes in them. Almost like a point-to-point, but you would use strings shoes so that the images form. It was something I had in the 80's as a kid and helped me get into the embroidery. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I also remember "sewing cards." They taught us above and below the seam. Here is how to go one step further. My granddaughter preschool 3 years, had real embroidery at school. Teachers use muslin blocks and drew outlines of shapes: square, circle, or as they progress, the most developed as apples, etc. Once the outline is there, remove points in the scheme. Now available from point to point embroidery. Place the block in a real frame. I think needles and thread very heavy carpet. I just brought all of its blocks preschool embroidered on a quilt for their 5 th birthday. She loves it!
