Fine Fabric
Has anyone done a quilt / blanket of fine silk and polyester fabrics?
I have been asked to do a cover with two beds / quilt "Hawaii" mu-mu tissues. I figured it would cotton fabrics floral prints. And when the box containing a dozen flow caftans and scarves series fine as polyester, all in spectacular views. I can not imagine web like a bedspread. Has anyone worked with this type of fabric for a quilt? How would stabilize the job? Thanks for all the entries.
That stuff is hard to quilt, you will have to be stabilized, and the rest is a pain to work with a quilt project. I returned the materials and the commission.
How to care for fine fabrics
Some garments need special care to maintain their color, shape, size and texture. Here are some common tissue can be damaged by conventional washing and care of the dryer. Use these instructions to ensure that will not harm clothes.

Some will shrink badly, cover the seams, or lose its shine and softness. Some items are not pre-shrunk and should never be washed by hand or on a machine. Silk should only be provided on cleaning dry.
Rayon: Rayon garments are usually blends of rayon. All mixed with synthetic fibers such as nylon, acrylic or polyester, it must wash in cold water and dried at low temperature, or dry cleaned. Synthetic fibers melt at fairly low temperatures. pure rayon comes in different forms. Polynosic or module generally Rayon Machine wash and dry very well, while other types will be reduced bad when wet. If your clothes simply says "rayon", then you are having the best dry cleaning.
When caring for fine fabrics and clothing is always best to be careful. Hang the items to be dry steam or clothing racks where they have plenty of air to dry.
