What is Your Favorite color (or mix of colors) to use for skin tones in portraits?
I've been testing a mix "flesh tone" but I think she has too much red in it. I also like to use only natural lemon dipped in white, but you can give a green glow. What are your favorites? What colors are pure or mixed? And the colors you like to use for shade. I like black smoke, but I was thinking of playing with some raw umber or burnt.
I admit that I use the flesh tone, but adds to it. various shades of yellow, or blue-added work wonders for subtle changes in tone. Experiment with shades of tan or brown appearance for a more natural meat, could also try shades of gray, depending on the color range of the piece is working. In general, I like the Skin Tone even with a little white, but this is more suitable for my particular style of work, rather than a realistic skin tone displayed. The great thing about art is that is so flexible: you can basically do whatever you want.
