Reinstall Windows XP issues abundance?
I've been trying to reinstall Windows XP for days and not going well. I restored the computer, and format the C drive bootable CD with Windows XP. Now when I go to actually put the Windows XP on the computer, I get a blue screen. However, there is always the same thing. I have received CDFS_FILE_SYSTEM MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL and all kinds of excuses. The reason I'm reinstalling first is that supposedly \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ config \ SYSTEM disappeared. I ran chkdsk yet … so if that is not the solution then do not really know what to do. : [
Restart the computer and reset the BIOS to factory specifications, format drive C and boot cd and installed to default
