3 Quick Tips to creating a garden hideaway
Many adults perfectly sensible and sociable to confess to a secret place, hidden in a private garden of her childhood: a hidden corner in the garden of a grandmother, a secret place in a grove of trees or shrubs in a corner of a wasteland. In the race to ensure that we create environments for socializing and family activities, we can forget the joy we find in the corners secret garden.
Sure, it's nice to have "together" spaces: as a pool for the family to welcome in. .. or a swing and sandbox for the more small. But more than a father with a beautiful patio hairstyle has heard their children talk with reverence of the lair "in the house of a friend, a bank of high weeds, where a neglected child can hide from the world.

1. Hidden from the world.
Look for privacy, or a feeling of confinement or hidden-dom. Will space for a comfortable chair. Is there a place where you can grow from a screen of morning glories … moonflowers or maybe you will enjoy your oasis in the night? The perfect hideaway for children 'allows you to remain hidden while preserving at least a glimpse of the outside world. Use the same principles.
2. Sounds silence
Are you a homeowner very lucky to birdsong and the rustling of the leaves are the natural sound environment. For the rest of us, we have to improvise. Wind chimes are a popular way to create a more peaceful soundscape. But for many, the sound of water is incomparably soft, and you can achieve the effect with only a gurgling fountain in a ceramic dish large. Even a gurgling can help hide or suppress traffic noise or buzzing Air conditioning.
3. A beautiful eye level
Create a focal point that you can enjoy your chair. Flowering vines – as the bell or moonflowers – can be useful. Or put a pot of annuals in a very short pillar or standing. Consider some fragrant flowers to appeal to the senses. Only one close to keep you company? Try to mount a framed mirror that reflects a beautiful garden area.
From the nursery to office work, our lives are overwhelmingly common – and solitude is a quality that is easily lost in our lives. Each day, try to disappear for a few minutes – with an early morning coffee, lemonade in the afternoon or an evening drink wine. Bring a favorite book, a diary of summer, or happy thoughts … but leave your phone roam in the house.

Do not forget that children still love their own little secret spaces. It's not too late to grow a Green Bean Hideout: in a corner of the garden (in the form but not too shady) Outline of a circle about 5 "diameter. Build a tipi frame with eight or more rods long bamboo, placed firmly on the ground around the circle, and simply secured to the top with a rope. At the base of each pole, plant 1 or 2 seeds of Scarlet Runner or other pole beans. Children love to see her hiding place to grow up the flag and beyond. And this hiding has been incorporated in the kitchen!
