Holographic Metallic
How liquid metallic appearance sewing fabric? (Used in dance costumes a lot)?
Sew doll clothes to sell, and a type Fabric is a good seller for use on clothing, but it is a bear to sew. It looks like liquid metal. The metal surface that binds very tightly knit support black – you see this much material. Sometimes it is even holographic looking. I get lots of skipped stitches, even with the serger at times, and I used strong Schmetz brand new, tip and all the needles end, it was all in vain. Only this can stretch things a bit as you sew, because there is no perfect recovery due to its metallic coating. Also the seams pucker like crazy, and it seems too good a bunch of times. the points are better than serger Sewing Machine, but still skips. I fooled with voltage to reduce wrinkling, and stretched a little sewing and sewing, too. It did not work well enough. Thanks if you have any advice!
Try to use a stretch needle, size 90/14 or 75/11. The tissue in the needle deep stretch helps maintain uniform across stitches to sew the "gold liquid "cloth and a little sharper point passes through the metal layer more easily. Furthermore, using a straight stitch plate (the one with a single hole in it) and a mobile stand or walk if you have one. Do not stretch the fabric as you stitch, but make sure it feeds through evenly. For very small pieces or lots of curves usually have to place it in freezer paper before sewing to prevent distortion then just retire after sewing. Works stabilizer tears away too, but the freezer paper stabilized around the edge of the fabric without pulling. A longer stitch length reduced by some of seam puckering.
