Help cleaned my wedding ring and a gold ring on my house to clean jewelry, have made the metallic green colo?
I have a small ring cleaning machine with the solution. I put my wedding ring and my grandmothers ring and left it in the solution for 2-3 minutes. Then he pulled out and put it in clean water the other side and left it there for 5-10 minutes. As I have done several times before and never had a problem with it. When they left, my gold ring is all green. and a side of my bands silver wedding ring is green. Anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?
From what I know, its rings, or are not real or merge with other metals such as steel, copper or nickel. If it turns your finger green then it would be a copper ring oxidant. You may be able to find someone to create a replica of the rings, but I doubt you can set the rings. If you're a little optimistic we can try to clean the rings with a little soap, water and a cloth. It will not impair the ring if it is real. Good luck!
