Placing the speakers for optimal listening
Distance to side wall and back wall.
Most speakers need to be at least one or two feet away from the side and back walls to reduce early reflections.
The differences between speakers can also influence the position and therefore should always read the specific manufacturer before placing the speakers.
A figure figure-eight pattern may be less critical of a side wall near, but highly critical of the distance to the wall.
The opposite is true for speakers presenting dynamic cardioid patterns. In general, the further away from reflective surfaces, the better. It is also crucial for keeping your distance from the wall and the sidewalls do not match.
If your speakers are set three feet away from the wall, NOT the place 3 feet away from the sidewalls, making them a different distance.
Another crucial aspect of the listening position and speaker placement is that the distance from your listening position each speaker the same type.
It is estimated that an error of less than ½ "can affect the sound image of the speaker, so this absolutely correct.
Distance to the speakers at the listening position.
Having established this, now have to resolve the distance from the listener to the speakers.
I work out of an equilateral triangle with the seating position is at the apex of this triangle. The distances of all must be equal.
The other factor to consider is the distance between the speakers. Too close and you will get a sound close to the approach is very central. The enlargement of the distance between the speakers will produce a wider stereo sound broad, but too far and lose the integrity of the soundstage.
Toe-in.
This is the angle of the speakers towards the listener.
There are a number of factors that influence the angle of the speakers. The room, the speakers themselves, and its angle to listen better to always start with excessive toe-and out at work until you can hear the soundstage to perfection.
Tilt.
Tilt is also crucial. Depending on the brand of speakers, most speakers are intended to level, but some may require the slope and in most cases, the posterior slope is high. If you have to have tilted the speakers then start level and work from there. Personally I prefer a configuration speaker level.
Listening height.
You will find that the optimal listening height is to focus the speaker is exactly at ear height. However, some speakers have their own recommendations specific height. You will find that with 3-way systems that incorporate top, middle and sub woofers, the height of listening is more customized to account for the locations subwoofer speakers in the cabin or housing.
Seating location.
I think that maintaining the seating 1-3 foot of the wall gives me the best bass response, and because the distance is too short for the brain to measure the delay time and thus find the source of reflection.

The listening position is in the back of the room faced with the speakers and the formation of the equilateral triangle configuration, and the listening position to form the apex of the triangle. The elliptical shape denotes the sound studio and as you can plainly see, side and rear walls do not interfere with the study of sound.
As you can see, I created this sound stage walls not as the rear and front walls, instead of creating the sound studio listening position in the shorter walls. This allows me to place the speakers is so broad as possible and therefore offer me musically a wider stereo field.
Place the listening chair near the back wall because the distance (1-3 feet) is too short for the brain to measure the delay time and locate the source of reflection. Also puts you in the room where the perception threshold of is more serious.
