. When the green light shines on a red rose petals why look black?
Objects appear a certain color, because only certain colors of light reflected from them. For example, a red rose red light reflected from its surface so it is red. Black objects reflect light not much at all so that they appear black. The green light only shines green colors so when an object flashed in red as a rose only red light is reflected, however there is no green light red so they do not reflect the light of what appears pink to black.
