You mean a quilt rack is used to display quilts, blankets or a frame, is used to hold the blanket in place while being padded? Create a complex quilt design using only simple forms
Quilt designs are created by combining blocks that have different color variations.
The block is the basic unit of a quilt top. Usually the blocks are square. They can be any size, and often a quilt is made from many blocks with the same design. Can be reconstructed from smaller pieces (called patches) or can be applique? It is also possible that a block may be a solid piece of fabric.
The smallest components of a block are called patches. There may be many different shapes – triangles, rectangles, squares, diamonds, and curves – but the idea is to sew patches together for you ends with a square.
By changing the shapes of the patches within a block (ie, replacement of triangles to squares) and / or change the placement of the colors of the pieces (ie, changing light dark cloth material), you can create a new quilt design all while maintaining the construction of your quilt with it.

All these design changes can be created by using only three basic shapes – squares, triangles, squares and triangles of a quarter of a square – plus a little imagination in the placement of colors.
As you sew the blocks together, can look completely different. For example, you may be in blocks of two half-square triangles simple, where columns alternate cutting direction of the triangle, and create a quilt that looks like the columns of zigzags. Using the same blocks, placing them so all the diagonal face the same direction, your quilt might look like an old-fashioned scrap quilt.
