What is the approximate cost of altering a wedding dress?
I need a strapless dress made in one size and the shorter edge. There is some embroidery at the top, so not sure how the party will strive to take in. (If it makes no difference cost-wise, I live in the area San Francisco Bay.) I'm debating whether to buy a $ 80 dress to be taken in one size and a hem, or go with a $ 299 dress off the rack you only need a hem. I like both equally beautiful clothes.
I took my dress in a size from the top and hem, and a noise added. It costs about $ 200, but was not pressed. I would call around and check with local tailors to see how much it would cost.
