What is a red and yellow flower that grows in Arizona?
I was in Phoenix a month ago and noticed these large shrubs near my hotel and sides of the road. They had these crazy yellow and red flowers. The yellow was more florid, and inside was a lot of red … another set of leaves in the form of petals and other things. They were medium-sized shrubs, and green foliage of the bushes had small elongated teardrop-shaped leaves. Also there were some round balls at the end of some stems, but do not know if those were the forerunners of the flowers. I have pictures of them and I would love to know what they are. Anyone know? Yes, that's it! Do you have a common name?
