Is it easy to sew a shirt?

I have trouble finding loose, long and very simple shirts that I can wear with leggings. So my solution is to make my own with the help of cloth and a Sewing Machine. So I know it is relatively easy to sew a shirt fabric? I've never sewn anything before, so I want to know if this is really possible.

t easy, but many tissues are difficult because they are stretched as you work with them. Usually Beginners start with a stable point as a cotton interlock. The two best books I know to work with knits are age http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&tn=sweatshirts+unlimited&x=0&y=0o http://www.worldcat.org/title/sewing-with-knits-classic-stylish-garments-from-swimsuits-to-eveningwear/oclc/42397098&referer=brief_results continue and the best variety of patterns point that I know from KwikSew, stretching and sewing and Jali. But I would start is the Butterick pattern http://butterick.mccall.com/b5215-products-7482.php?page_id=156 Connie Crawford it seems dead boring. It's actually what the designers call a basic block point (in fact, 3 of them) … close-fitting shirt, a moderate adjustment, and a loose fit. It is well written and well-sewn together. Once you've made the changes you like that shirt assembly, you are free to design all kinds of tapas point that changing the neckline, adding fullness, changing the sleeves, adding decoration, etc, etc (hint:. patterns point should not be seen as a model prepared by a woven If you see a basic pattern dart point, run!). (Do not use the main pattern in the book KwikSew Sweatshirts Unlimited, However, because the pattern is looking … 1.980 very fall of man, very loose – use the Butterick place with the instructions in the book and pattern KwikSew Butterick.) The first obstacle is that you'll have to learn to operate a sewing machine correctly, then you're going to have to learn to measure and cut the fabric correctly, and then stitched together properly. That will take a little patience and practice, and actually works better if you have a teacher guide, at least initially. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; _ylt = AkWqDHZK7CF83vq8MKiUpoIjzKIX;? _ylv four times a day = 3 = 20101001182436AANGnVs Although I have sewn many, many shirts in a sewing machine in recent years, I really prefer to sew on a serger, which is the type of sewing machine that uses several cones of thread to sew the seams and at the same time trim the excess seam allowance of a time. One of the advantages that knitting is that they have a device called a differential feed "that allows you to compensate for elastic tissue and produce good Flat seams. The disadvantage for beginners is that if you make a mistake with a serger, often do not have more than garbage filling to show for the project. When a little confidence in making shirts, however, the head of a sewing machine dealer and ask them to show what a serger can do. Usually takes me about 40 minutes to sew a shirt with a serger … which is faster I can get a load of laundry done.
