I recently bought a couple of houses for dogs (I have an Irish Wolfhound and a Labrador Retriever), and was surprised for all that was available. Not only in the styles and materials, but I also found some unusual things.
First, I did not know you could get a dog inside the house. Most of these are mild houses are designed for small dogs, you can get them in a variety of colors and styles, many are nice. Others are made of wicker, like a basket, and some are functional and will double as an end table. But none of these really work for my dogs are just too big! A raised floor is also important to help keep your dog cool in summer and warm in winter. Wooden dog houses also usually shipped flat and can be mounted with a screwdriver. Most are finished to withstand the weather, and of course, a dog house cedar pleasant climate. You can find wooden houses painted (often in imitation of a country house), but most can be seen with a natural wood finish.
Well, it seems I have so many choices, and I'm mainly limited by the size of my dogs! But I think I'll go with two wooden houses, insulated dog with a sloping roof line Single or double sided dog.
