Halloween costumes If your children need to carry any accessories such as wands, swords butcher knives, forks, or anything of that nature, be sure that the props do not have sharp edges and tips are not rigid, but flexible in its place and soft enough to not cause any injury to themselves or anyone around.

Before permitting their children to go trick or treating, make sure you have a talk to them about safety precautions, such as the importance of not getting into strange cars, no chatting with strangers, do not enter homes of strangers, not to eat any treats before you have the chance to see them, looking both ways before crossing streets and crossing when the lights tell you.
5. When your children are out trick or treating make sure they are equipped with a flashlight, light stick or at least have put on clothes with reflective tape on them to make them more visible to vehicles even from a distance.
6. If your kids go trick-out any adult supervision, be sure to go with a group of other children that you trust and let them know that it is extremely important for them to be together as a group and should never wonder from the rest of the group.
7. If you intend to take the trick or treating children in your car, make sure their children out of the car on the side of the sidewalk, not the traffic side, and remind them to always look left, right and left again before crossing the street.
