Why is the bobbin thread on my Sewing Machine soon making a mess in the fabric as I sew?
My sewing machine is a Singer 301A – An older model of the mechanical machine (no computer). The bottom of my sewing is now getting a horrible mess of yarn and sew. It's something they need an adjustment or do I take my machine in the service?
And adding to the previous two good answers, some 301As are extremely sensitive about the fluff and lack lubrication. So while you rethreading thread off the machine, take a minute or two and give the machine a basic cleaning, including vacuuming or brushing feed dog and box area and lubricate coil (sewing machine oil, not 3 in one type of oil, as the gum machine.)
