How to remove sides of double sided tape fashion from the beginning of polyester?
I have a woven polyester halter top that I put the face of fashion tape twice in the top of the back to avoid falling. The package says to remove the tape before washing the item, but does not say so to remove it! The sticky stuff is not only material and stick to itself and out as the rubber cement would. Any ideas on how to remove without damaging the fabric or eliminate the color of the top? (It's mostly black with a white design.) I be afraid to try a solvent such as Goo Gone, I think it might be too strong, would have affected the top and I've only used once! The alcohol worked well.
You could try alcohol. Proof that for the first time in a inseam to make sure they do not affect the color of the fabric, or worse still, dissolve the tissue. If all is well, then you can proceed to see if it works in the stickum.
