Into the chambers of my heart you came,
like a butterfly, flitting from room to room.
Lightness of being, you well displayed;
mesmerizing me with your every movement.

The clock had no hands,
time had no import,
my joy was simply
to watch you.

Gone now, but, my finger traces
the spots you brushed up against
and I find dust from your vibrant wings,
the colors as true as our love.
