Dressing tables originated in 18th century in France. They are referred to as “toilette” or “toilet tables” as most women use to wrap their cosmetic in a small, square linen coth (the toilette) before they put them in a chest. It is handy addition and offers extra storage. There are many different types of dressing table to choose like large, draped, kidney shaped tables which are luxurious and look good in a larger room. Some antique Victorian and French tables are suitable also for large bedrooms. They have elaborate mirrors and beautiful carvings.
For small rooms, art-deco style dressing-tables are used. Plain wooden vanities and white painted styles can work wonders in a small room. What decade would you born in?
What decade were born and that in ten years you like you were born in? I was born in 80 years, but always felt like an old soul. I love all things vintage and especially the love of the 1950s family values, style and glamor (Marilyn Monroe). I also love the Victorian era, because the surface was so cocky and so tight, but underneath it all I had so many things passing. So … what time you were born in or worship like? 
Wow, I'm just like you, I wish I was born in the 1930s, it therefore would have been a young adult during the years of glamor of the 1940s, then down and get married in the 1950s. I would have loved to have been a major Hollywood star in those days, now not so much. I do not like in Hollywood today. Unfortunately I was born in the 1990s.
