Snowdrops look stunning in small individual groups. It is the most widely grown plant in the garden. George is a fine example of a reticulate, the gorgeous purple with yellow on its falls is just enough to lift the eye and bring out the lovely pink background of the cyclamen. Another favorite at this time of year is the bright yellow winter aconite, which will form generous groups once it has established itself. It is an excellent choice for a damp border beneath deciduous shrubs, where it will have shade in summer but receive more light in winter when it flowers.
